June welcomed new members to the chapter through a special luncheon, bringing together postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and program mentees with existing members. The gathering provided an opportunity for connections and discussions about future chapter activities.

August brought a special cultural evening at the Hollywood Bowl, where members and their families gathered for a picnic while enjoying an exceptional performance by Gustavo Dudamel and Yunchan Lim. This memorable event was made possible through the support of Dr. Haejung An, a respected mentor within the chapter.

The December Christmas celebration, warmly hosted at Dr. Jeong-Im Woo’s home and catered by Dr. Woo and Dr. Minhee Ko, brought members together for a year-end gathering. The event included a visit from Dr. Eunsook Seo, KWiSE’s fourth president, who stopped by during her visit from Baltimore, highlighting the strong network of KWiSE chapters across the United States. The gathering also served as a farewell celebration for Dr. Yubin Kim, the 2024 LA Chapter President, as she prepares for her new journey in New York. We wish her the very best in her next chapter! The event concluded with the election of the chapter’s 2025 leadership team and a festive White Elephant gift exchange.
